Junior Cloud Infra Engineer

We re looking for Junior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to work on our core product infrastructure with a passion for running and improving our cloud-based product. The perfect candidate will have a background in computer science or related domain, will have experience with fundamental cloud management activities preferably on AWS like Compute, network and storage services.

Exp required : 3-5 yrs

Responsibilities

• Use your infrastructure and networking knowledge to maintain cloud based infrastructure predominantly on AWS involving EC2, S3, RDS & VPC.

• Use your networking knowledge to setup and support dev teams with all cloud infra needs ex: commissioning new machines, managing IAM etc

• Collaborate with the team (product owner, designers and other developers) and customers to holistically understand business and user requirements

• Collaborate with teams in India to carry out monitoring and development activities on the cloud infrastructure during the US hours.

1. AWS
   1. EC2 : Candidates need to have in-depth understanding of EC2. Concepts like bootstrapping, ENI( elastic network interface) are important as well.
   2. VPC : This is one of the key services for us especially for someone in US as they will be interfacing with clients to setup their environments, ensuring connectivity etc. Anyone who knows VPC is generally good with networking as well routing tables, NAT etc
   3. ECS, ECR : These are nice to have( as of now), as we don t expect the infra member in US to do deployments etc as of now. But this can soon become must have .
2. Linux
   1. Basic Linux admin skills. We have servers in our US device farm which run on Linux and we need people to upkeep them. Generally people who are good in AWS, they know Linux very well as that s the base OS of AWS.
   2. Shell scripting
   3. Android on Linux servers hosting and troubleshooting Android emulators on Linux. ( Could have)

1. Troubleshooting
   1. This is applicable to both the points above( AWS and Linux).
   2. General ability to troubleshoot and especially in AWS. Ex: Checking ELK logs, checking VPC flow logs to understand problems and do troubleshooting at a L1 level.
