About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Accessibility Tester to join our QA and UX teams. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in accessibility testing, compliance standards (WCAG, Section 508, ADA), and assistive technologies. You will ensure our digital products are inclusive, usable, and compliant with accessibility requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct manual and automated accessibility testing on web and mobile applications.

  • Review designs, wireframes, and prototypes for accessibility compliance.

  • Use assistive technologies (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, etc.) to evaluate user experiences.

  • Validate against WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 standards.

  • Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to provide actionable remediation guidance.

  • Create accessibility test plans, scripts, and reports.

  • Lead accessibility audits and ensure timely defect tracking and resolution.

  • Provide mentorship and training to QA and dev teams on accessibility best practices.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 5+ years focused on accessibility testing.

  • Expertise in WCAG 2.1/2.2, ADA, Section 508 standards.

  • Hands-on experience with automated accessibility tools such as:

    • Axe, Wave, Lighthouse, ANDI, Tenon, or Deque tools.

  • Proficient with screen readers and assistive technologies.

  • Strong understanding of HTML, ARIA, CSS, and JavaScript accessibility considerations.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

  • Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • IAAP CPACC, WAS, or CPWA certification (or equivalent).

  • Experience with mobile accessibility on iOS and Android.

  • Knowledge of usability testing for people with disabilities.
