Role: Application Support Engineer
Location: Alpharetta,GA

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Application Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in supporting enterprise applications, preferably in the banking domain, and demonstrate strong technical capabilities along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Application Support (Banking Domain Preferred)
  • Provide L2/L3 support for business-critical applications.
  • Manage incidents, problems, and changes in alignment with ITIL practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure application reliability and performance.
  1. Database & SQL Expertise
  • Write and optimize SQL queries across databases such as Oracle, Sybase, or SQL Server.
  • Perform data analysis and troubleshoot database-related issues.
  1. Linux & Shell Scripting
  • Execute Linux commands for system monitoring and issue resolution.
  • Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation and operational efficiency.
  1. Alert Management
  • Configure and manage alerts using tools like CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Prometheus, etc.
  • Respond to alerts and take proactive actions to minimize downtime.
  1. Logs Management
  • Analyze application and system logs using tools like Splunk, ELK Stack, or native Linux utilities.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and document findings.
  1. ITIL & ITSM Practices
  • Apply ITIL principles in managing service operations.
  • Use ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, or BMC Remedy for ticketing and workflow management.
  • Ensure compliance with SLAs and maintain high service quality standards.

  • Strong communication skills able to articulate technical issues clearly to stakeholders.
  • Ownership mindset takes initiative and responsibility for resolving issues end-to-end.
  • Analytical thinking capable of breaking down complex problems and identifying effective solutions.
