Cyber Security -support Engineer

Job Summary:

PowerSolv, Inc. is seeking a skilled Cyber Security Analyst to support the cybersecurity operations at our Railroad customer. This position focuses on proactively securing IT systems, managing endpoint and network security, supporting compliance efforts. The ideal candidate will be experienced in vulnerability management, incident response, endpoint security, and regulatory alignment with NIST CSF and TSA SD 1582.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor, detect, and respond to cyber threats and security incidents using Microsoft Defender and ReliaQuest GreyMatter.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments using Qualys VMDR and coordinate remediation efforts with system owners.
• Manage and enforce endpoint security policies through Microsoft Intune.
• Support secure remote access configurations via Cisco Meraki VPN.
• Ensure cybersecurity policies comply with NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) and TSA SD 1582 regulations.
• Assist with the procurement and integration of third-party cybersecurity tools and services.
• Collaborate with a Managed Detection and Response (MDR) partner on threat investigations and continuous improvement of detection and response practices.
• Utilize enterprise security technologies such as Azure P2 licensed stack, Mimecast Email Security, and Cisco Meraki infrastructure.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, preferably in transportation, government, or other critical infrastructure environments.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Intune
  • Cisco Meraki VPN
  • Qualys VMDR, Mimecast Email Security
  • Azure Security tools and ReliaQuest GreyMatter
• Familiarity with cybersecurity standards and frameworks
• Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
