Job Details
Join our dynamic team as a Windows Platform Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing IT infrastructure. This position offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects in a hybrid setting based in Austin, Texas.
Responsibilities
- Drive tasks to completion with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
- Implement and adhere to ITIL processes, including Incident, Change, and Problem management.
- Manage major incidents and contribute to problem resolution and escalation.
- Enhance system monitoring and alerting to ensure the integrity of the live environment across global data centers.
- Maintain and update key system documentation to reflect changes.
- Collaborate with global teams to communicate planned and unplanned system outages.
Skills
- Technical accreditation or vendor-certified training in key technologies such as Microsoft Exchange Hybrid, Microsoft Identity Manager, and Microsoft SCCM.
- Proficient in Windows Server management, including configuration, patching, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Azure Cloud services.
- Strong scripting skills with languages like PowerShell and VBScript for automation.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with multi-domain AD forests and appliance-based load balancing.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure tools such as PRTG and VMware.
- Knowledge of Azure Site Recovery and Azure app proxy.
