Chief Engineer FTE, direct hire only multiple roles opportunity

Traveling role, based in Houston

Direct Hire: $110K $125K DOE

This is a 100% travel position with rotation schedule of 3 weeks on/3 weeks off, therefore can live anywhere in the US (preferably along the Gulf or East coast).

Employees do not get to pick & choose project sites or work location; must be able to travel where their skills are needed/requested by employer.

Lodging & transportation is provided by employer + daily work meal allowance (amount to be determined by employer).

The Opportunity:

The Chief Engineer shall oversee and maintain overall responsibly for propulsion plant and auxiliary machinery equipment for their assigned Cutter Suction Dredge.

Acting as a vessel officer and partnering with the Captain, this position is responsible for the safe and reliable operation of all vessel machinery including the supervision of engine room crew and any contracted repair services onboard the vessel. Working in coordination with shoreside Maintenance Superintendents and Managers, the Chief Engineer shall also ensure the vessels preventative maintenance system is followed and is encouraged to provide recommended improvements, as necessary.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor s degree in marine engineering or technical discipline or equivalent industry experience.
