Job title : L2 Application Support Analyst

Location: Nashville, TN or Raleigh, NC

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced L2 Application Support Analyst to join our team. The candidate should be technically proficient and passionate about production support, incident/problem management, and continuous improvement through automation and modern tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide L2 Application Support, preferably in Finance or Banking domains.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a production environment, ensuring high availability and performance of applications.
  • Perform the full spectrum of production support responsibilities as per the ITIL Framework Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management.
  • Handle Major Incident Management and escalate when necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with development, infrastructure, and QA teams for issue resolution.
  • Ensure documentation of issues, root cause analysis, and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in on-call support rotations and shift-based coverage.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Strong proficiency in UNIX/Linux, Oracle PL/SQL, Shell Scripting
  • Experience with Autosys, Batch Monitoring, and automation tools
  • Good understanding of ITIL processes (certification preferred)
  • Familiarity with monitoring and diagnostic tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics (Good to have)
  • Exposure to technologies like Java, Informatica, etc., is a plus
  • Knowledge of DevOps and Agile methodologies is an added advantage

Must-Have Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Good working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments
  • Willingness to work in rotational shifts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • ITIL Certification (preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role

Nice to Have:

  • Passion for automation and improving operational efficiency
  • Experience with tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, and other observability platforms
  • Exposure to cloud environments or migration projects
