Job Title: Full Stack Python / React Developer - 245157
Work Location: 100% remote in the US (working EST Hours)
Compensation Range: $125,000,000 - $150,000 / year, depending on experience
Start Date: October 2025 (2 weeks from offer acceptance)
ABOUT OUR CLIENT / ABOUT THIS ROLE
Medix is currently seeking a Full-Stack Software Developer (Python/React) for a full-time opportunity with our Health System Client, located on the East Coast. With 13 operational hospitals and 30,000 employees, our client is an established network of care for over 1 million patients each year.
We are seeking individuals with 7-10+ years of Software Development experience, with at least 3 years of recent experience working in a Health System. Having an hands-on understanding of Healthcare and Clinical Data is important, as this development team creates full-stack web and mobile applications that integrate with Epic, and have Clinical use-cases across the health system
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working in a team environment to develop the full stack of web and mobile applications
- Participates in the end to end, full lifecycle of development for assignment products - including estimation, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Designing, coding, testing and debugging complex software components for a suite of full-stack applications built in Python, Flask, FastAPI and SQL on the back-end.
- Working dull stack with JavaScript and React for the front-end
- Developing new functionality and enhancing existing functionality
- Providing technical guidance and leadership to guide customers on satisfying their requirements
- Working with, and instilling strong engineering principles and best-practices, such as continuous testing, code refactoring and managing technical debt
- Embracing and promoting a kaizen approach of continuous improvement and best-practices for software development
- Working with Python, SQL and React on a daily basis. Heavy SQL experience is necessary for query performance tuning, indexing and optimization for large datasets
- This role will also be supporting the optimization of ETL pipelines (Apache Airflow) and Data Integrations for optimal application performance
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Required Bachelor / 4-year College Degree
- 10 + years professional experience
- 7+ years in Python
- 7+ years with SQL (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgteSQL)
- Very strong Data / Back-end experience
- 7+ years with React
- Must have 3+ years of current Healthcare / Hospital experience
- Prior exposure to integrating applications with Epic EHR is highly preferred
