Summary:
The HCS Learning Technology Consultant's role develops and delivers training to end-users via Web-based and blended educational systems and corresponding software tools. The Learning Technology Consultant participates in the design, development and implementation of e-learning applications and activities that supports business objectives. This role is responsible for maintaining the Learning Management System (LMS) for the health care system.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops, and delivers Web-based and blended training programs and courses, including course materials, exercises, and skills evaluation in consultation with subject matter experts. Assesses training needs of teammates through analysis of reported issues, tracking of business metrics, and external data-gathering techniques.
  • Assists in developing long- and short-term plans for training across all departmental business operations in partnership with enterprise-wide committees. Develops, coordinates, assigns and uploads the Learning Management System training curricula for end users of all levels, as dictated by departmental, and organizational goals and project objectives.
  • Collaborates with internal clients to enhance the learning experience. Provides Tier II technical support to teammates with LMS issues.
  • Partners with external vendors to source and develop e-learning material for delivery through LMS. Supports UNC entities with e-learning training, LMS administration, and navigation. Manages UNC LMS Administrators' collaboration, SharePoint site, and resources.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
No licensure or certification required.
Professional Experience Requirements:
If a Bachelor's degree: No prior experience required.
If an Associate's degree: Four (4) years of relevant experience.
If a High School diploma or GED: Eight (8) years of relevant experience.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles and learning methodologies. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent presentation skills
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to design and/or facilitate training programs. Demonstrated ability to select the appropriate training programs to meet identified needs
Demonstrated ability to work independently or collaborate as part of a team. Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability
