Role Overview
UST is seeking an experienced Salesforce Technical Solution Architect with a strong background in Healthcare (Payer/Insurance domain) and Salesforce Health Cloud implementations. The ideal candidate will possess deep hands-on technical expertise in Apex, LWC, OmniStudio, and Experience Cloud, along with proven experience in enterprise-scale Salesforce architecture, solutioning, and integrations.
This role combines hands-on technical development with architectural leadership, requiring close collaboration with onsite and offshore teams and active engagement with U.S.-based clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement scalable Salesforce Health Cloud solutions for large enterprise clients.
- Lead technical solutioning evaluating configuration vs. customization and selecting optimal approaches for each project.
- Drive end-to-end Salesforce implementation projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture teams on data modeling, system design, and integration strategies.
- Oversee hands-on development in Apex, Visualforce, LWC, and OmniStudio.
- Guide development teams in implementing best practices, coding standards, and efficient performance tuning.
- Manage and coordinate onsite-offshore collaboration for design, development, and delivery.
- Integrate Salesforce with EHR, EMR, Utilization, and Care Management platforms using SOAP/REST APIs.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR) and interoperability guidelines.
- Participate in client discussions, solution presentations, and design workshops.
- Oversee production deployments using change sets, ANT migration tools, and related processes.
Required Experience & Skills
- 12 18 years in IT with 9+ years in Salesforce architecture, development, and solutioning.
- Experience in at least 3 Salesforce Health Cloud implementations (minimum 6 months each).
- Strong healthcare domain experience, particularly in payer and insurance environments.
- Proven experience in OmniStudio, LWC, and Experience Cloud.
- Expertise in Apex, Visualforce, SOQL, JavaScript, and Salesforce data modeling.
- Experience architecting large-scale Salesforce implementations (10,000+ users).
- Strong background in Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware tools (Informatica, Mulesoft, Boomi, Cast Iron).
- Deep understanding of Salesforce coding best practices, security models, data compliance, and governor limits.
- Experience with Apex Data Loader, workflow rules, approval processes, reports, and dashboards.
- Hands-on experience with unit testing, test classes, and deployment management.
- Excellent problem-solving, technical design, and client communication skills.
Certifications
Must Have:
- Salesforce Platform Developer II
- At least 2 Architect-stream Certifications
Nice to Have:
- Salesforce Advanced Administrator (ADM 301)
- Salesforce Consultant Certifications (Sales Cloud / Service Cloud)
- Salesforce OmniStudio Consultant
Additional Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of HTML, database development (SQL/PL-SQL), and stored procedures.
- Experience in evaluating third-party solutions for Healthcare Payer/Provider use cases.
- Strong exposure to metadata API, bulk API, and security/compliance requirements.
