Responsibilities

• Participate and contribute in Cloud Platform & Product Architecture for cloud based applications
• Demonstrate thought leadership in cloud computing across multiple streams (cloud native)
• Develops technical roadmaps for future cloud implementations
• Ensure security is integrated into all cloud architecture solutions
• Define technology standards and future state for Cloud Services
• Creation and maintenance of guidelines, reference architectures, guiding principles, and solution building blocks as well as technology roadmaps for automation and programmable infrastructure in addition to confidential research, cost-justification, and drive technological improvements through position papers
• Cooperate with enterprise architecture to assure overall fit & integration and define target architectures
• Standardize automation capabilities and create automation best practices
• Communicating the decisions and their impact to stakeholders
• Create and supervise design within the DevOps teams and projects/programs
• Assist with application team intakes regarding improving their automation capabilities
• Create solution design together with the application team, which has the best fit for their application with the current provided services

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in cloud-native application, backend service, and API development
• 3+ years of experience as a solutions architect or consultant in mobile applications, cloud-native applications, and infrastructures
• AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy applications to cloud-based solutions
• Experience migrating large databases from legacy data models to new data models
• Working knowledge of DevOps tools and Software Development methodologies
• Professional experience architecting and operating cloud-based solutions
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies, learn quickly, and manage ambiguity
• Ability to articulate business requirements, lead in-depth technology discussions, and drive solutions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers
