Skillset / Experience:
Seeking a skilled Redis Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Redis-based systems that support high-performance data workflows. In addition to Redis expertise, this role requires strong hands-on experience with Python, Snowflake, and Databricks, as you'll be integrating Redis within a modern cloud data architecture.
You'll collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and application teams to build low-latency systems that complement large-scale processing in Databricks and Snowflake.
Key Responsibilities
Redis Architecture & Management
- Design and deploy Redis solutions for caching, messaging, and real-time access.
- Configure and manage Redis in both standalone and clustered environments.
- Implement high availability, failover, and disaster recovery with Redis Sentinel or Cluster.
- Integrate Redis with batch and streaming pipelines powered by Snowflake and Databricks.
- Build real-time data access layers or feature stores using Redis for ML or reporting use cases.
- Write Python scripts and applications for Redis interaction, automation, and monitoring.
- Build API integrations and event-driven flows between Redis, Snowflake, and Databricks.
- Monitor Redis performance, memory utilization, and latency using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or RedisInsight.
- Tune configurations, data structures, and access patterns for efficiency and stability.
- Implement Redis authentication, TLS encryption, and role-based access.
- Maintain backups, manage persistence (RDB/AOF), and ensure compliance standards are met.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience with Redis, including data structure optimization and cluster configuration
- Strong proficiency in Python for scripting and application development
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake (data ingestion, transformation, access control)
- Experience building or integrating solutions on Databricks (Spark, notebooks, workflows)
- Understanding of modern data architectures, streaming pipelines, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker), infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible), and CI/CD pipelines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Redis Streams or pub/sub architectures
- Knowledge of Delta Lake or real-time feature store design
- Exposure to observability stacks (ELK, OpenTelemetry, Datadog)
