Overview
A leading engineering services provider is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join its growing team. This role will focus on designing and analyzing structural components across a variety of commercial and industrial projects. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, creative problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering safe, efficient, and reliable structural solutions.
This is a full-time on-site position based in Nashville, TN.
Responsibilities
Perform structural design and analysis for building and infrastructure projects
Prepare technical reports, drawings, calculations, and specifications
Conduct on-site inspections to assess structural integrity and ensure compliance with design and safety standards
Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and engineering teams to support project delivery
Review drawings and documentation for accuracy and code compliance
Provide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle
Ensure timely delivery of high-quality engineering work within established project schedules
Required Skills
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
6+ years of full-time experience in structural engineering
Strong understanding of structural mechanics, materials, and system behavior
Proficiency with engineering and drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical and technical writing skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in Structural Engineering or Civil/Architectural Engineering with a structural emphasis
Experience supporting commercial, mixed-use, industrial, or similar project types
Project management experience and ability to manage multiple priorities
