The IT Talent Development Specialist IV is responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and management of training content and talent development initiatives, supporting the growth and development of Information Technology professionals.
This role drives and leads collaborative efforts with leadership and subject matter experts (SMEs) to create training solutions and to design, coordinate, and manage talent development initiatives aligned with technology strategies. They lead the assessment of training content and talent development initiatives to identify potential gaps, recommend and implement improvements. This role also assists in the assessment of training delivery and 3rd party training providers while championing a culture and mindset of continuous learning, development, and innovation.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead collaborative efforts with SMEs and IT Talent Development Specialists to design and develop IT focused training content and complex programs using multiple formats (e.g., e-Learning modules, instructor-led training, job aids, knowledge checks, assessments, etc.).
Apply advanced instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, Agile Learning) and adult learning principles to create effective and scalable learning experiences across multiple channels.
Collaborate with SMEs to translate highly complex technical concepts into accessible, learner-friendly content.
Create comprehensive curriculum maps, learning paths, and assessments for assigned training efforts, skill uplift initiatives, and technology-based career development programs.
Lead efforts to conduct needs assessments and the analysis of learner profiles to inform instructional design decisions and strategies.
Oversee, develop, and implement technology learning content using multiple authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, etc.) to build interactive content and programs for a variety of learning experiences.
Oversee the maintenance of technology training content within company's Learning Management Systems.
Lead collaborative efforts with SMEs to evaluate and recommend courses for use in the creation of technology learning paths across multiple training platforms (Udemy, ServiceNow, etc.).
Lead efforts to evaluate learning effectiveness through the data analysis, learner feedback, and performance metrics; identify gaps, recommend and oversee implementation of improvements.
Lead efforts to write, edit, and review scripts for video and audio content.
Ensure all learning materials meet company accessibility and marketing brand standards and are optimized for a diverse audience.
Manage and/or oversee multiple learning projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.
Serve as a subject matter expert for instructional design across the Technology organization.
Stay current with trends in instructional design, learning technologies, and adult learning theory; bring new ideas and recommendations to the team; lead efforts to implement new approaches.
Identify, recommend, and implement improvements to instructional design standards, learning frameworks, templates, and processes.
Mentor Talent Development Specialists.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
5+ years of experience in instructional design, curriculum design, or in the design, development, and delivery of talent development initiatives in a technology organization.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
