Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the design and oversight of enterprise-wide systems with a focus on scalability, performance, resiliency, and high availability. This role plays a key part in shaping the future architecture landscape to support business growth and operational excellence. The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise and a strong track record in building and governing distributed, cloud-native, and fault-tolerant systems at scale.

You will work closely with engineering, product, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure architectural decisions meet non-functional requirements and support long-term sustainability of the enterprise technology ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead architecture reviews and technical governance across domains to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.

Collaborate across technology teams early in the lifecycle to embed non-functional requirements such as reliability, throughput, fault tolerance, and observability.

Architect for horizontal scalability, stateless design, and asynchronous processing where needed.

Recommend caching strategies, concurrency patterns, and distributed processing approaches.

Conduct deep technical assessments including code reviews, architecture validations, and performance testing.

Analyze logs, traces, and metrics from tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Dynatrace, and others to identify and resolve system constraints.

Guide adoption of DevSecOps and Infrastructure as Code to improve speed, safety, and repeatability of deployments.

Ensure consistent architectural practices are followed for failover, backup, recovery, and operational readiness.

Partner with security, infrastructure, and reliability teams to design end-to-end resilient solutions.

Create architectural artifacts, patterns, and decision records to support knowledge sharing and governance.

Requirements:

8+ years of hands-on experience in IT systems architecture and implementation.

5+ years as an Enterprise or Solution Architect with direct accountability for system scale and uptime.

Extensive experience with public cloud (AWS preferred), including architecture for high-throughput and globally distributed systems.

Strong background in resiliency, availability, disaster recovery, and incident prevention strategies.

Familiarity with containerized environments (EKS, ECS, Kubernetes) and modern deployment patterns.

Experience optimizing compute, storage, and network performance for critical business services.

Proficient in identifying architectural improvements in legacy and modern systems.

Strong leadership in defining future-state architectures with scalability and resilience in mind.

Deep understanding of observability practices including monitoring, logging, alerting, and tracing.

Knowledge of performance engineering, system tuning, and root cause analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or equivalent certification.

Experience modernizing enterprise systems to meet high availability and scalability requirements.

Strong grounding in financial services, insurance, or other regulated industries.
