Location: Hybrid - 3 days on-site, Cambridge, MA
Pay Rate: 63-73/hr W2 Based on Experience

Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Communications Manager to support R&D Communications as a temporary member of the global Corporate Affairs team. This individual will play a critical role in executing internal and external communications plans that amplify the company s scientific narrative. The ideal candidate is a science-driven storyteller, thrives in a collaborative environment, and can manage multiple projects while delivering high-quality communications across audiences.
Responsibilities:

Strategic Communications Support

Partner with R&D leadership to develop and execute integrated communication plans aligned with R&D and corporate priorities.

Translate complex scientific and medical concepts into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences.

Develop and manage content for internal channels (e.g., town halls, newsletters, intranet) and external platforms (e.g., media, social, speaking engagements).

Executive Engagement

Support preparation for internal and external engagements involving R&D leaders, including briefing materials, talking points, and presentation decks.

Content Development

Originate and edit high-quality written materials, including articles, announcements, video scripts, and executive communications.

Ensure consistency in messaging and tone across all R&D communications.

Stakeholder Management / Collaboration

Partner with Chiefs of Staff, Corporate Communications, HR, and other cross-functional teams to align messaging and execution.

Required Qualifications:
-
5+ years of professional experience in communications, preferably in biotech, pharma, or healthcare.

Excellent writing skills and executive presence, with experience working with senior leaders. Writing sample will be requested.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Familiarity with scientific terminology and the biotech regulatory environment.
Education:

Bachelor s degree required, ideally in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
