Meridian Technologies is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager for an opportunity in Houston TX!
Summary:
- Position Title: Senior Project Manager
- Location: Houston, TX/On-Site
- Anticipated start date: ASAP
- 12-month contract
- Must be able to work on W2 as an hourly Meridian Employee
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience with Data Engineering, ETL, data warehouse/data mart development, data lake development
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
- Experience working with Cloud Datawarehouse like Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift
- Experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, S3, Lambda, SQS, SNS, etc.
- Experience with Cloud Integration Tools like Matillion, Dell Boomi, Informatica Cloud, Talend, AWS Glue
- Experience with GitHub and its integration with the ETL tools for version control
- Experience with Informatica PowerCenter, various scripting languages, SQL, querying tools
- Familiarity with modern data management tools and platforms including Spark, Hadoop/Hive,
- NoSQL, APIs, Streaming, and other analytic data platforms
- Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, Scala, etc., a plus.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum is valuable.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of digital infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, risk assessments, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including IT teams, vendors, and business leaders, to define project requirements and objectives.
- Manage and oversee the implementation of cloud computing, network architecture, data centers, and IT infrastructure upgrades.
- Ability to supervise technical work done by network engineers, ensuring successful implementation of infrastructure updates.
- Ensure project compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project completion.
- Lead and facilitate project meetings, status updates, and reporting to senior leadership.
- Optimize infrastructure deployment processes, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
- Provide post-implementation support, ensuring smooth transition and operational stability.
- Assist in communicating the business case to project team to assist with decision making and prioritization; keeps business case at fore-front to drive decisions.
- Act as liaison between technology/business stakeholders and Senior Leadership on project status, issues and risks.
- Create and maintain project plans and ensures effective financial forecasting and tracking.
- Interface with other technology and business organizations to reach agreement on scope, obtain resources and ensure proper preparedness.
- Review and evaluate work to ensure quality, timeliness and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
- May coach and mentor less-experienced team members and act as team leader on systems projects.
