Description:
*Hybrid role 3x/week in Concord, CA*
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in architecting and engineering large-scale applications using OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and Kubernetes. This role focuses on designing comprehensive solutions that align with our strategic goals, rather than on day-to-day tasks.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $80 - $92 / hr. w2

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.

Responsibilities:
- Design and architect scalable, reliable, and secure solutions using OCP and Kubernetes for large-scale applications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain architectural blueprints and documentation for Kubernetes-based solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams on best practices for containerization and orchestration.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality and performance of applications.
- Conduct architectural reviews and ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Kubernetes and OCP environments.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Mentor and train team members on Kubernetes and OCP architecture and engineering practices.
Experience Requirements:
- Proven experience as a solution architect or engineer with a focus on OCP and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of containerization, microservices architecture, and cloud-native application design.
- Experience with large-scale application deployment and management in Kubernetes environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about complex systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of security best practices in containerized environments.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced certifications in Kubernetes or OpenShift are a plus.
