The Reporting Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate, effective and timely institutional reporting throughout the Student Information System (SIS) implementation project from PowerCampus to Workday. This position focuses on supporting, modifying, and troubleshooting existing SQL Server Report Services (SSRS) reports sourced from PowerCampus and preparing for future reporting platform transition into Workday.
Essential Job Functions:
25% A. Maintain and update existing reports during the migration period.
- Update and maintain existing operational and compliance reports to ensure business continuity throughout the transition.
25% B. Data validation and report reconciliation pre and post- migration
- Partner with data analysts to validate report outputs, reconcile against legacy systems, and resolve discrepancies pre- and post-migration
20% C. Document current report logic, data sources, and schedules
- Capture and document existing report logic, data sources, scheduling, and usage to inform the Workday Student transition
15% D. Support end users with ad-hoc report adjustments and troubleshooting.
- Provide ad-hoc report modifications, troubleshoot data issues, and respond to functional office requests.
15% E. Participate in the transition to the new Workday reporting platform.
- Assist in the shift from legacy reporting tools to Workday s reporting platform, supporting training, testing, and report redevelopment.
Education:
Required: High School Diploma and relevant required SQL/other certification
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
Professional Experience:
Required: 2 years of experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), including SQL query and report debugging skills. Some experience with relational database structures. Experience handling sensitive data securely.
Preferred: Some experience in Workday Student or other Workday reporting tools. Some experience with higher education systems such as PowerCampus. Experience with educational reporting and compliance (e.g. IPEDS).
This position is fully remote; however, candidates must reside in one of the following states:
Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, or Wisconsin.
