Job Details
We are seeking a Budget Analyst to support financial planning and cost tracking for power plant overhaul projects. This role plays a key part in overseeing project budgets, ensuring financial compliance, and maintaining accurate reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in budget planning, cost control, and reporting, with experience in the power generation or construction industries. Familiarity with SAP, Maximo, and power plant maintenance operations is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain operating budgets for various departments or project units
- Monitor actual vs. forecasted expenditures to ensure compliance with budget allocations
- Track and report daily burn rates, accruals, and actual project costs
- Serve as the business lead for overhaul budget tracking and financial oversight
- Compile financial data from past performance and project forecasts to support budget decisions
- Maintain accurate spending records and implement measures for budgetary control
- Audit accounts and review financial reports for accuracy and consistency
- Support monthly reporting, financial presentations, and project updates
Preferred Experience:
- 2 5 years of relevant experience in budgeting, financial analysis, or project controls
- Experience in the Power Generation or Construction industries
- Familiarity with Power Plant maintenance processes is a strong plus
- Experience with enterprise systems such as SAP and Maximo
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with Microsoft Project is a plus but not required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
