Job Details
Position: Project Manager
Location: Bakersfield CA (onsite)
The Project Manager will work with internal IT teams, Clinical and Business stakeholders, third-party vendors, and Executive leadership to ensure the successful planning and execution of the PBX migration.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and manage the project plan and timeline for the PBX migration.
- Coordinate site readiness assessments, capacity planning, and resource alignment
- Liaise between Avaya and Cisco technical teams, including coordination of porting, trunk configuration, dial plan mapping, and call flow design
- Oversee implementation of Cisco UCCX for call center departments with a healthcare focus (e.g., scheduling, nursing hotlines)
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and minimal disruption to patient care during cutover
- Provide regular Executive ready project status reports
- Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT), training coordination, and go-live planning and preparation
Qualifications:
The proposed Project Manager must meet the following qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management of enterprise telecom migrations
- Direct experience migrating Avaya PBX systems to Cisco CUCM in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with Cisco UCCX call center deployment and scripting
- Strong understanding of HIPAA and healthcare IT compliance requirements
- PMP certification or equivalent is preferred
- Experience with clinical environments, 24/7 operations, and mission-critical systems
