- Provide on-site field support to customers, including installation, servicing, and repair of systems and equipment.
- Verify and approve the operational quality of system equipment.
- Investigate and resolve complex installation and maintenance issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems, including upgrades and maintenance.
- Instruct customers on the operation and maintenance of systems and equipment.
- Ensure issues are escalated to appropriate personnel or service areas for resolution and follow-up.
- Serve as a liaison with customers on both administrative and technical matters for assigned projects.
- Analyze trends in system problems and prepare reports to track recurring issues.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of field support experience.
- Proficient in ticket and asset management systems.
- Strong experience with hardware and software installation, support, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Windows XP, 10, and 11; Mac OS and iOS support.
- Hands-on experience with network printers, HP configuration, consumable swaps, and moves.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft Office, Office 365, and phone security.
- Capable of supporting networking issues and VPN connectivity.
- Experience imaging and configuring PCs and notebooks via SCCM or standalone processes.
- Ability to perform remote software and hardware installations and provide support.
- Understanding of basic networking concepts and "hands and eyes" support.
Preferred Education and Certifications:
- Lenovo or equivalent vendor certifications preferred.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certifications are a plus.
- Apple training preferred but not required.
Work Environment:
- Office-based environment with access to walk-up kiosks, vending machines, networked printers, and telco closets.
- May require weekend work for critical or high-priority support cases.
- Will require shift work and on-call coverage as needed.
