Description

SAIC is looking for an Engineering Technician II in Crane, IN to support the U.S. Navy.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for planning and scheduling tasks to provide shipping and receiving support of explosive and ordnance operations including: shipping, receiving, issuing, storing, segregating, handling, preparing, inventorying materials, in support of engineering and production operations.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related experience to include working with hand and power tools
  • Able to obtain a Secret Clearance; Interim Secret Needed to Start
  • Previous experience working with customers and maintaining good customer relations
  • Able to pass physical for CDL level requirements
  • Able to obtain explosive certification
  • Good communications skills
  • Experience working with computers
  • Capable of working outside in extreme weather conditions.

DESIRED:
  • Previous experience in engineering and production operations
  • Forklift certification
  • Computer skills
  • Experience in inventory management
  • Past experience in shipping/receiving beneficial
