Role description:
Arcadis is looking for a Cybersecurity Intern to join our Water Business Line in our White Plains, New York office. The selected candidate will be responsible for Cybersecurity design, implementation, and configuration services for diverse clients and projects for municipal water and wastewater treatment, conveyance systems and facilities.
Role accountabilities:
Coordination: Coordinate with other disciplines and perform engineering and design to develop drawings and specifications, as well as perform construction management for projects. As an intern you will develop proficiency with reports and design documents in all stages of design, from design concepts in basis of design reports to detailed design in bidding documents. The ideal candidate will have the ability to self-direct and work on multiple assignments at once while meeting project deliverable dates and completing other task-driven assignments.
Cybersecurity:
Travel: Travel to client sites and other Arcadis office locations as needed. This may require some short-term travel in the region for project meetings, site visits, etc. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license, clean driving record and willingness to travel (25%).

Cybersecurity:
- Gain familiarity with industrial cybersecurity standards such as NIST 800 series, IEC/ISA-62443, and NIST CSF 2.0.
- Assist in reviewing OT architecture designs and configurations against IEC/ISA-62443 and other established cybersecurity frameworks, working closely with team members and subject matter experts.
- Support cybersecurity framework crosswalk exercises by collaborating with colleagues to map and compare different standards and controls.
- Help review CISA alerts and KEV (Known Exploited Vulnerabilities) catalogs for specific OT products.
- Conduct site visits and assist with asset inventory and data gathering.
- Gain familiarity with EPA's Water Cybersecurity Assessment Tool (WCAT).
- Participate in cybersecurity workshops for risk and vulnerability assessments.
- Contribute to the development of assessment reports.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to help integrate cybersecurity measures into project designs.
- Stay up to date on OT cybersecurity trends and emerging threats and actively share new insights with the team to support collective learning.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical, controls engineering, or a closely related field of study.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Design and programming experience in the water and wastewater industry.
- Prior work or internship experience with cybersecurity assessments, design and implementation experience.
