We are looking for an Open-Source Ceph Engineer with 5+ years to join our team, you will be crucial in designing, implementing, optimizing, and troubleshooting Open-Source Ceph-based storage solutions. You are the ideal candidate if you enjoy working on Open-Source Ceph, working on reliable storage infrastructures, improving engineering efficiency, and digging into the technical details to solve problems.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must have 5+ years hands-on experienced as a Platform Engineer and Unix System Administrator with extensive knowledge in Software Defined Storage architecture (Open-Source Ceph)
Experience building collaborative working relationships with stakeholders across development verticals to support technology projects and initiatives
Experience leading efforts to optimize design, technology, regulatory and/or process standards by leveraging innovative tools and technologies and gaining exposure to industry trends
Experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
Experience setting priorities, objectives, and driving deliverables within own teams aligned with strategic objectives to a global technology domain
Experience teaming with other technical experts to resolve/ anticipate issues and implement impactful solutions
Act as a subject matter expert and active participant
Responsibilities
Manages and maintains platforms by leading day-to-day building, maintaining, and monitoring of system and platform technologies
Serves as a point of escalation, resolving problems of diverse scopes where analysis of the situation requires in-depth technical evaluation and judgement
Participates in the planning and implementation of system/platform updates to optimize performance, efficiency, and capacity
Supports process improvement efforts to identify and test opportunities for automation and/or reduction in time to deployment
Performs security posture, which includes proactively identifying security risks and implementing both risk mitigation plans and control functions
