Job Description
Closely collaborate with customers and relevant products and business functions within the Clients Logistics Freight Forwarding and Brokerage domains to onboard customers EDI/API integration needs and deliver integration services Supporting B2B and B2C Interfacing. The role will support the implementation of customers by liaising with relevant departments including IT, Ops Excellence, Product Development, Business implementation, Operations Support, Customer Experience, and Commercial Sales. The role will have a high level of industry FF experience and systems and process knowledge and hands-on knowledge of EDI/API message sets utilized in FF & brokerage domains. This knowledge is used to effectively bridge the gap between the technology and operational layers of the business and act as a source of information in the technology and development teams while managing clear communications with Sales and Customers.
Responsible for successful execution of customer onboarding, growth and retention per customer SOPs and through delivery of EDI/API integration services across FXL Air and Ocean forwarding and brokerage domains at a global scale. This role is customer-facing, works closely with the Product Manager on customer demands and priorities and ensures requirements are captured, translated and developed in partnership with Process/Integration and Solutions teams, hand-over over to IT for optimal turn-around time. This role is responsible for coordinating all stages from initiation call with customers to IT communications and integration testing including UAT testing with Ops and the final publish.
Skills Required:
- Business Analysis skills to write clear requirements for integration
- Experience in mapping fields from source to target mapping (MUST),
- Experience in reading integration specifications for EDI EDIFACT/X12 (MUST)
- Experience in API (json/xml) based interfaces and test endpoints using tools like Postman or Swagger.
- Must have experience working in Agile methodology to create use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Working closely with IT development teams, QA teams and business stakeholders
- Write UAT / end to end test scripts and support testing
- Ability to work independently with limited oversight
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Logistics, Information Technology, or an equivalent education
- Three (3) years professional experience in freight forwarding and logistics onboarding EDI/API common message sets with EDIFACT, X12, json, xml, text etc.
- Experience with Integration Services that are commonly used in the freight forwarding space inclusive of brokerage ideally defining required capabilities and working with IT for delivery.
- Experience with CargoWise as the core freight and brokerage systems is preferred.
- Proven ability to complete projects and exceed results.
- Ability to manage priorities, demands management, escalations and process optimization and demands of customer solutions delivery
- Must be customer-centric and as such can easily put themselves into customer shoes
- Good analytical, communication, and human relations skills.
