Title: Drupal PHP LAMP/LEMP Developer 5 Days Onsite Austin, TX (Only Local Candidates)
Location: Austin, TX 78701
Client: State of Texas
Duration: Long-term | 40 hours/week
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 100% onsite
MUST be local to Austin, TX (within 50 miles)
Only candidates who can commute daily NO relocation or remote options
Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Drupal PHP Developer with deep experience in the LAMP or LEMP stack to support our client's enterprise web operations. You will lead efforts to manage and enhance Drupal and WordPress websites, develop modern web applications, and provide technical documentation and training.
Required Qualifications (Must Have 12+ Years Overall IT Experience)
  • 8+ years of experience with PHP development using the LAMP/LEMP stack
  • Expertise in Drupal and WordPress site administration and custom theme/module development
  • Front-end development experience with HTML, CSS, jQuery
  • Experience with MySQL database design and development
  • Familiar with web development frameworks like Laravel, Django, Symfony
  • Strong understanding of Linux OS & CLI
  • Experience with:
    • Python development in LAMP/LEMP stack
    • AJAX, Drush, Solr, Drupal Search
    • Responsive web design and modern UX/UI standards
  • Security awareness: XSS, SQL Injection protection
  • Experience using ticketing tools such as Remedy or KACE
Education & Certifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (minimum)
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Recent industry certifications in programming or web development highly desirable

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and manage enterprise-level Drupal and WordPress websites
  • Maintain and enhance internal web applications
  • Provide technical training to agency staff
  • Collaborate on web design standards and reusable template development
  • Produce system documentation, weekly progress reports, and risk updates
  • Provide occasional after-hours support as needed
Other Requirements
  • Criminal background check required
  • Completion of IT Security Training (certificate needed)
  • Must be able to attend work onsite 5 days a week in Austin, TX
