We are seeking a strategic and hands-on product interaction analyst to drive our product analytics, telemetry, and instrumentation efforts. This role will be responsible for defining and implementing best-in-class telemetry frameworks, capturing meaningful product usage data, and transforming those insights into actionable recommendations for product development, design, and executive decision-making. The ideal candidate is fluent in both data and product, passionate about measurement, and able to translate analytics into business impact.

We are looking for strong critical thinking skills, the ability to navigate various data environments, hands-on technical ability in data, creative problem solving, persistent exploration, and a drive to understand our business. The successful candidate will be a thought partner to our customers (product, engineering, marketing, design, etc.) and will assist them in understanding data and generating further insights. This individual will dig into requirements for new data instrumentation that needs to be implemented, raw and processed data (warehouses, backend DBs, Mixpanel, and event/message data), transform information into visualizations using Tableau, Python, Excel, etc., and effectively articulate the story behind the data. The role involves close interaction with product management, user design groups, data warehouse developers, data architects, and software development teams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are critical, as is a spirit to roll up your sleeves and persistently navigate ambiguity.
Pearson is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer and a member of E-Verify. All qualified applicants, including minorities, women, veterans, and people with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
What You'll Do
Partner with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to define and implement instrumentation strategies across courseware products
Design and maintain a scalable telemetry architecture to capture meaningful user behavior and system performance metrics
Translate product goals into clear KPIs and data requirements, ensuring consistent tracking and tagging
Own and evolve the event taxonomy and data governance practices for product analytics
Build dashboards, reports, and ad hoc analyses to surface key trends, identify user friction, and support product decisions
Lead deep-dive analysis on product features, experiments, and user cohorts to inform roadmap prioritization
Collaborate with Data Engineering to ensure clean, reliable data pipelines and standardized reporting
Evangelize a data-informed culture across Product and Engineering teams through education, enablement, and scalable tooling
