Job Overview:
- The ServiceNow Project Manager is entrusted with overseeing the complete lifecycle of ServiceNow engineering projects from inception to implementation, aligned with strategic objectives.
- The role involves translating business requirements into technology solutions that surpass business expectations.
- This individual will offer expert consultancy to both the in-house Product Engineering team and external partners, assisting in technology choices and vendor selections where required.
- The position demands strategic collaboration with Product Engineering authorities to allocate funds and prioritize the sequence of both planned and emergency developments and support initiatives.
- The ServiceNow Project Manager is expected to cultivate a broad yet profound comprehension of the scope and viability of technical solutions in partnership with Product Managers and Technical Architects/Engineers.
- The role encompasses management of product development, release strategies, and deployment to meet technological and business standards.
Product Oversight:
- The manager will make operational decisions for projects under their jurisdiction.
- They must establish strategies to implement product roadmaps in unison with ServiceNow stakeholders.
- The role includes identifying strategies for cost reduction and efficiency improvement in production ServiceNow applications.
- The candidate must merge business strategy with in-depth knowledge of current and prospective software capabilities to shape and guide the direction of all relevant channel products.
- Cooperation with Engineering and Product Leadership is expected in the design and delivery of universal solutions.
- Partner with Product Managers and Architects to ensure products complement necessary business operations and possess robust support and maintenance frameworks.
Project Duties:
- The Project Manager must champion Product Management tenets in Product Engineering, complying with set standards, procedures, and delivery lifecycle methodologies.
- The manager assures project alignment with the channel's objectives, sticking to the product/channel vision and roadmap for innovation.
- They will helm project operations, allocating resources, and leading coordination endeavors to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.
- Obligations include communicating the development and production updates to stakeholders.
- They must also partake in crafting project documents in alignment with PMO standards, including project initiation forms, budgets, plans, and resource allocations.
- The manager must ensure project contributors are meeting their deadlines optimally.
- They are tasked with escalating critical matters to superiors, alongside proposing corrective measures.
- Oversee the ongoing operational performance of solutions, proposing upgrades when necessary.
- The manager must examine projects for comprehensive coherence and cross-project interface consistency.
Delivery Collaboration:
- Collaborate with PMO to delineate full project timetables, milestones, and task estimations.
- Engage in pivotal technology and solution discussions with the architecture and product cohorts for projects.
- Partner with Solution and Application Architects for precise documentation of designs and testing requirements.
- Analyze business and functional impacts on applications alongside Product Managers.
- Optimize developer resource allocation in collaboration with USI Technical Delivery Management.
- Ensure code review consistency with design and standards by coordinating with architects and developers.
- Facilitate robust testing with product managers and Quality Engineering teams.
- Lead delivery teams with an emphasis on consistent process enhancements.
