Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Continuity Administrator to support our business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives. This role is responsible for maintaining and updating continuity plans, assisting with business impact analyses, coordinating cross-functional efforts, and ensuring organizational readiness for potential disruptions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting business impact analyses by collecting data and identifying critical business functions.
- Maintain and regularly update business continuity and disaster recovery plans in accordance with established guidelines.
- Manage and ensure the accuracy and accessibility of disaster recovery (DR) run-books.
- Coordinate with IT and other departments to align continuity and recovery strategies.
- Support the planning and execution of regular testing and drills for business continuity and disaster recovery.
- Help develop and deliver training and awareness materials to employees.
- Monitor potential risks and disruptions, escalating issues as appropriate.
- Maintain thorough documentation and records of continuity and recovery activities.
- Stay current with industry best practices and contribute to plan enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- 2-4 years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, risk management, or related areas.
- Familiarity with business impact analysis and disaster recovery planning methodologies.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow established procedures and collaborate within a team environment.
- Certification or coursework in business continuity (e.g., CBCP, ISO 22301) is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to lift and transfer up to 30 pounds.
- Occasional domestic and international travel (up to 10%).
