Job Details
Title: Salesforce IT Project Manager
Duration: 12 Months (Possibility of extension)
Location: Providence, RI 02908 (Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 remote)
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Management: Lead the entire project lifecycle for Salesforce implementation and enhancements, including defining project scope, goals, deliverables, and success metrics.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams to gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure project alignment with organizational objectives.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate and motivate cross-functional teams, including developers, administrators, and business analysts, often using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
- Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating to senior management when necessary to keep projects on track.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor project progress, timelines, and budgets, providing regular status reports and presentations to stakeholders and senior management.
- Quality Assurance & Training: Oversee quality assurance (QA) and user acceptance testing (UAT) activities and help facilitate end-user training and support to drive platform adoption.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including detailed project plans, technical design documents, and user reference guides.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management within the IT industry.
- Proven experience in managing Salesforce implementation projects from inception to completion.
- Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and/or Waterfall.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform and its capabilities, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira and Microsoft Project).
- Familiarity with data migration, integrations, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Preferred Certifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification.
- Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant certification.
