Role Overview:
The team is looking to hire a Product Manager to support the discovery work before pushing new deliverables into the development team. This role is crucial due to the high volume of work and the need for more Product Managers (PMs) like Renee to manage the workload effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Discovery Work: Identifying business cases, prioritizing tasks, building strategies, and driving design.
- Service Management: Focus on advanced Wi-Fi solutions, static IP, wireless internet access, etc.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Working with product teams to understand requests, deep dive into scenarios, and drive work forward.
- Analytics: Using data to make product decisions, document success metrics, and measure post-launch performance.
Stakeholders:
- Primary: Product teams managing advanced Wi-Fi, network, Ethernet, fiber, and data products.
- Potential Expansion: Voice products and other areas as needed.
Must-Haves:
- Experience Level: Open to candidates with varying levels of experience, ideally 5-7 years minimum, but more experienced candidates (10+ years) are highly desirable -- with proven examples of driving discovery work.
- Product Management: Extensive background in product management, especially with digital tools and websites for large customer bases.
- Analytical Mindset: she will want to see/hear about proven examples of using data to drive business strategy and product decisions in the interview.
- Tools and Technologies:
- JIRA: Experience with JIRA is essential.
- PowerPoint: Strong skills in creating presentations and decks.
- Tableau/Adobe: Familiarity/experience with these tools for data analysis.
Pluses:
- Telecom: Understanding of telecom services is a bonus but not mandatory.
