Our client is hiring a Technical Sales Solution Engineer! We are seeking someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering and client engagement. If you’re an experienced Professional Engineer ready to expand your impact beyond the desk — this is your chance to own projects from design through completion while playing a consultative, client-facing role. You’ll support infrastructure challenges specific to Pittsburgh’s unique terrain — flash flooding, landslides, and soil instability — using high-performance, proprietary solutions. With a robust commission plan and a growing book of business, this is an ideal role for someone with technical depth and commercial drive.
Title: Technical Sales Solutions Engineer – Geotechnical & Environmental Projects
Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Work 100% remote from home)
Compensation: $95,000–$105,000 base + Uncapped commission + guaranteed commission your first 6 months.
Total Compensation: expectations is $200-$250K
Travel: 25–50% (more travel in early months)

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead geotechnical and environmental project development from initial design to final delivery
- Collaborate closely with clients to identify problems and present value-driven solutions
- Travel to client sites across the region (25–50% travel expected)
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with existing clients while prospecting for new business
- Apply strong engineering or geoscience knowledge to evaluate site conditions and tailor proposals
- Partner with internal engineering and sales support to deliver high-impact solutions
- Operate with full visibility into project budgeting, resource planning, and performance
What You Bring:
- PE or PG license (Engineer or Geologist)
- Experience as a Project Engineer or Project Manager within a consulting firm
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects cradle to grave
- Experience or comfort with consultative selling or technical sales
- Strong knowledge of Pittsburgh’s landscape and environmental conditions
- Self-starter who enjoys solving problems, collaborating, and learning proprietary systems
- Willingness to travel and represent the company in the field and at client meetings
