Job Overview:

Seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for LPL's Infrastructure Solutions Engineering organization. This Engineer will possess technical expertise and engineering skills which allows him/her to grow into a leading subject matter expert for both Investor and Advisor themed technology as well as enabling Cloud based solutions. This individual must be able to work in a fast paced, start up like environment, assist to identify requirements and facilitate implementation, while following appropriate change control and release processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate the implementation of current and future LPL products that require knowledge of the technologies and capabilities of the platform.
  • Collaborate with Automation team and assist with streamline Solution Orchestration and Configuration
  • Collaborate with Project Managers around project tasks
  • Assists with coordinating changes across multiple systems
  • Contributes to policies, procedures, and standards
  • Performs capacity workload modeling and availability analysis for a variety of platforms and environments.
  • Recommends changes/enhancements for improved systems availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Participates in the creation and maintenance of metrics around the system and institutes a process for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain engineering process documentation standards / templates.

Requirements:
  • 8+ years of relevant systems engineering experience
  • 5-7 years' experience managing Linux/RedHat Environments
  • 2-5 years' experience with Azure Cloud Environments
  • 5-7 years' experience managing VMWare Environments
  • 3-5 years' experience with Ansible and Terraform scripting
  • 3-5 years' experience with Configuration Management (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
  • 3-5 years' experience Understanding of System/Service Monitoring
  • 2+ years working with Version Control Tools

Core Competencies:
  • Able to work on efforts independently and progress in a proactive fashion
  • Understanding of Network protocols
  • Understanding of Firewall Rule Management
  • Understanding of Network Security Best Practices
  • Understanding of SSL Certificate Requests, Installation and PKI Management

Preferences:
  • 3-5 years' experience managing Public Cloud Infrastructure Azure
  • 3-5 Experience Managing Shared, Multi-Tenant Services
  • Bachelor's degree or technical institute degree/certificate
  • Certifications are a plus (Microsoft, Redhat, Cisco, CompTIA, etc.)

Pay Range:
$96,900-$161,500/year
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
