Overview
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager (PMP Certified) with strong experience in IT project management, change management, and stakeholder coordination.
The ideal candidate will manage complex, enterprise-level initiatives, oversee multiple project teams, and ensure timely, within-budget project delivery for our public-sector client in Tallahassee, Florida.
Key Responsibilities
Lead large-scale organizational change and IT transformation projects.
Develop and execute change management strategies and plans to support successful adoption.
Conduct stakeholder engagement, readiness assessments, and communication planning.
Create, track, and manage resource-loaded project schedules and performance metrics.
Provide hands-on leadership for multi-department initiatives.
Prepare and deliver executive-level reports and presentations.
Conduct Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions and gather business and functional requirements.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
Ensure compliance with PMO documentation standards and Rule 60GG-1, F.A.C.
Manage project budgets, forecasts, and spending plans.
Support process improvement initiatives by documenting As-Is and To-Be workflows.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor s or Master s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or 4 years of equivalent work experience).
Active PMP Certification (Project Management Professional).
5+ years leading enterprise or government IT projects.
5+ years in Change Management (Prosci or similar methodologies).
5+ years using Microsoft Project, Jira, or Primavera for project tracking.
Experience with PMO methodologies, documentation, and governance.
Strong background in risk, issue, and stakeholder management.
Excellent written and verbal communication and executive presentation skills.
Must be able to pass a Level II Background Check.
Preferred Qualifications
Prosci Change Management Certification (Highly Preferred).
Agile / Scrum Certification (CSM, PMI-ACP, or equivalent).
ITIL Service Management Foundations Certification.
Experience managing state or local government IT initiatives.
Knowledge of Rule 60GG-1, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.).
Proficiency with ServiceNow, Smartsheet, and DocuSign.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships.
