Location : San Antonio, TX (3-4 days onsite)

Position Overview
- We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Oracle Cloud Payroll Lead to spearhead the implementation of Oracle Cloud Payroll into an enterprise utilities environment. This critical role requires a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep expertise in Oracle Cloud Payroll, demonstrated through a minimum of two full lifecycle implementations. As the Payroll module Lead, you will oversee the end-to-end Payroll track, acting as the primary point of contact and driving the design, configuration, and deployment of the Payroll module.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership of Payroll Track:
- Serve as the lead for the Oracle Cloud Payroll module, overseeing all aspects of the implementation lifecycle from planning to production rollout.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the Payroll module, interfacing with stakeholders, project teams, and client leadership.
- Design & Configuration:
- Design, build, and configure the Oracle Cloud Payroll application to meet client-specific requirements while adhering to industry best practices.
- Implement responsive and adaptive design principles to ensure an optimal user experience across platforms and devices.
- Provide expert guidance on solution architecture, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and alignment with organizational goals.
- Subject Matter Expertise:
- Leverage deep knowledge of Oracle Cloud Payroll to deliver innovative solutions and identify transformation opportunities for the client.
- Advise on best practices, process improvements, and system optimizations to enhance payroll operations.
- Collaboration & Coordination:
- Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., HCM, Finance, IT) to ensure seamless integration and functionality during the design, build, and testing phases.
- Coordinate with the client for review and approval of deliverables, ensuring alignment with expectations and timelines.
- Project Management Support:
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of HCM project plans, timelines, and milestones specific to the Payroll module.
- Report progress, risks, and issues to project management, ensuring transparency and proactive resolution of challenges.
- Testing & Transition:
- Oversee all module testing activities, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT), to validate system functionality and performance.
- Collaborate with the team to plan and execute a smooth transition of the Payroll module to the production environment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 full lifecycle Oracle Cloud Payroll implementations in an enterprise environment (mandatory).
- Proven track record as a Payroll module Lead or similar role in Oracle Cloud HCM projects.
- Experience working in complex, enterprise-level settings, preferably within the utilities sector or a comparable industry.
Technical Skills:
- Extensive hands-on expertise in designing, building, and configuring Oracle Cloud Payroll solutions.
- Strong understanding of solution architecture principles and best practices within Oracle Cloud ecosystems.
- Familiarity with responsive and adaptive design methodologies for user-centric application development.
Soft Skills:
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to address complex payroll challenges and propose innovative solutions.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality, client-focused outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle Cloud HCM modules beyond Payroll (e.g., Core HR, Benefits, Time & Labor) for broader integration knowledge.
- Prior experience in the utilities industry or with enterprise clients in regulated sectors.
- Certification in Oracle Cloud Payroll or Oracle Cloud HCM (preferred but not required).
