Location : Hybrid Onsite Dallas TX / Jersey City Nj

Key Responsibilities

API Architecture & Design

  • Architect, design, and implement high-performance, low-latency APIs to support large-scale distributed systems.
  • Define and enforce API standards including Protocol Buffers (Protobuf), JSON, gRPC, OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
  • Lead the creation of API governance frameworks, versioning strategies, schema evolution, and backward compatibility.
  • Develop event-driven and streaming-based APIs leveraging Kafka, Kinesis, or similar platforms for real-time data flows.

Performance Engineering & Optimization

  • Optimize APIs for sub-millisecond response times and high throughput using caching, connection pooling, compression, and asynchronous patterns.
  • Conduct performance tuning for API endpoints, network configurations, data serialization formats, and backend integrations.
  • Implement API-specific profiling and benchmarking strategies to identify bottlenecks and maximize performance.
