Job Details

Piper Companies is currently looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (PA) to work with a leading Philadelphia academic institution.

Responsibilities for the Veterinary Technician include:

Assist in surgery setup including disinfection and autoclaving of supplies, equipment and rooms

Maintain Proper record keeping including SOPs, drug usage, and medical records

Perform Maintenance of surgery O.R.s, procedure rooms and prep areas

Proper medical waste disposal and final disposition of animals

Provide support to rodent breeding colonies

Qualifications for the Veterinary Technician include:

A minimum of 1-year veterinary experience within animal research

Demonstrated proficiency with anesthesia monitoring, anesthesia machines, ventilators/respirators, autoclaves, and surgical tools.

Technical capabilities with animal breeding, tissue sampling, harvesting, collection, and rodent mouse models

BS in biology related field required

Compensation for the Veterinary Technician include:

Salary Range is dependent upon experience
