Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our client to support and strengthen the technology operations of a growing, multi-entity service organization. This direct-hire role will be instrumental in maintaining and optimizing the company s IT infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient systems across multiple business units. The IT Infrastructure Engineer will work closely with external IT partners and internal stakeholders to implement infrastructure improvements, enhance cybersecurity, and streamline technology integrations following recent acquisitions. This position is remote but requires frequent travel approximately 30% to company sites across the western U.S., primarily in California and Colorado.

Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM, with minimal off-hours requirements

Key Responsibilities of the IT Infrastructure Engineer:

  • Maintain and support IT infrastructure systems, ensuring stability, security, and scalability across multiple business units.
  • Collaborate with managed service providers (MSPs) to ensure consistent service delivery, troubleshoot escalated issues, and recommend process improvements.
  • Assist in executing the company s IT roadmap, focusing on infrastructure standardization and system integration across acquired entities.
  • Support projects involving ERP systems, email migrations, and server or network upgrades to improve performance and reduce vendor dependency.
  • Provide hands-on technical support for hardware, software, and network environments, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient operations.
  • Work with business leaders and IT partners to identify technology needs, resolve system challenges, and implement practical solutions
  • Promote cybersecurity best practices and ensure compliance with IT security standards across all company locations.

Qualifications and Skills for the IT Infrastructure Engineer:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, network administration, or systems engineering.
  • Strong technical knowledge of servers, storage, networking, firewalls, and IT security principles.
  • Experience collaborating with MSPs and supporting multi-location Microsoft environments.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Acumatica preferred), SQL, and ERP configuration or implementation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills with a service-oriented mindset.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently in a dynamic, evolving environment.
  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% to sites across California, Colorado, and the Midwest.
