World Wide Technology is looking for a F5 Engineer. This role is part of WWT s Strategic Resourcing services and is a contract role. The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT s preferred partners. The partner will provide full compensation and benefit information prior to employment with the partner.

Rate/Salary: A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $50.00 to $60.00 hourly (W2/C2C). Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in base pay.

Job Description:

World Wide Technology (WWT) is seeking a F5 Engineer for a 6 Months C2H position at the location New York, NY, as part of our Strategic Resourcing Services and staff augmentation efforts.

In this role, the selected consultant will work directly with a WWT client, supporting their internal team and business objectives. While WWT facilitates the position, the consultant will be employed by one of WWT s preferred partner organizations, which will provide complete details regarding compensation and benefits before employment.

Responsibilities:

  • Configure and manage F5 BIG-IP platforms
  • Implement and optimize ASM (Application Security Manager) & APM (Access Policy Manager) modules
  • Develop and troubleshoot iRules and TCL scripting
  • Troubleshoot TLS/SSL, TCP, and traffic-related issues
  • Support AWS/cloud integration with automation tools (Ansible / Terraform)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and security teams
  • Occasionally support weekend or after-hours work

Qualifications
Must-Have:

  • Deep expertise in F5 engineering (not a generalist networking profile)
  • Experience with: load balancers, SSL offloading, ASM/APM modules, iRules/TCL scripting, TLS/TCP troubleshooting, cloud (AWS), automation (Ansible/Terraform)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve F5-specific issues end-to-end

Preferred / Nice-to-Have:

  • F5 Certified Technology Specialist (F5-CTS)
  • DevOps experience
  • Source Network Address Translation (SNAT)
  • Banking or financial services background
