Job Title: Oracle EBS MFG Consultant
Location: Dallas, TX onsite/Hybrid
Duration: 12+ Months
Key Responsibilities
Oracle EBS Configuration and Implementation
Implement the Configure-to-Order (CTO) model, incorporating dynamic Bills of Materials (BoM) to support flexible product configurations.
Establish discrete manufacturing processes tailored for discrete manufacturing.
Set up product management systems and item master data for raw materials, spare parts and finished goods.
Supply Chain Management
Design and implement inventory management solutions for raw materials as well as finished goods and WIP.
Configure lot number tracking mechanisms to ensure traceability throughout the production process.
Establish warehouse management processes for both component storage and finished
product inventory management. Experience with Propel is beneficial
Implement bundle tagging and inventory labeling systems to streamline identification and movement of goods.
Manufacturing Operations
Create and configure Bills of Materials (BoMs) configured assemblies.
Design routing resources and manufacturing routings for multiple production lines
Configure work order management and production reporting systems to support efficient
operations.
System Integration
Costing & Financial Structure
Evaluate and recommend the most suitable costing methodology for discrete manufacturing approaches.
Set up appropriate costing structures to accurately track production expenses.
Work with the financials team to provide options and recommendations for configuration of financial reporting and accounting structures.
Ensure compliance with corporate financial protocols and data governance standards.
Required Qualifications
Technical Expertise
Minimum of 7 years experience with Oracle EBS implementations, focusing on SCM and Manufacturing modules.
Expert-level knowledge of Oracle Inventory, BOM, Work in Process (WIP), and Order
Management modules.
Demonstrated experience in Configure-to-Order (CTO) implementations.
Strong understanding of discrete manufacturing processes and routing configuration.
Proficiency in lot tracking, serialization, and inventory control within manufacturing environments.
Manufacturing Industry Experience
At least 5 years of experience in discrete manufacturing, ideally in metal fabrication or building components.
Knowledge of steel processing, forming, and assembly operations.
Experience with production line integration and shop floor data collection systems.
Familiarity with quality control and traceability requirements in manufacturing.
Integration & Technical Skills
Experience integrating Oracle EBS with third-party manufacturing execution systems.
Understanding of data mapping and interface development.
Familiarity with barcode and scanning systems, as well as inventory labeling technologies.
Knowledge of HMI systems and production line controllers is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Oracle EBS certification in Manufacturing or SCM modules.
Experience working with Beck controllers or similar manufacturing line control systems.
Background in building materials or construction industry.
Experience with Oracle Advanced Product Catalog (APC) or Product Information Management.
