Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced E-Discovery Project Manager to provide strategic and technical oversight for multiple, concurrent litigation projects throughout the entire electronic discovery lifecycle. This role partners with legal teams, vendors, and internal departments to plan, organize, and manage electronic discovery processes in a cost-effective and technology-driven manner. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of legal technology, litigation support, and eDiscovery best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
< class="" data-start="926" data-end="964">eDiscovery Strategy & Support</>Act as the primary liaison between attorneys, paralegals, vendors, and IT to oversee data identification, collection, processing, review, and production.
Develop and maintain eDiscovery project plans including workflows, task assignments, timelines, and documentation.
Ensure compliance with firm protocols and facilitate communication across stakeholders.
Track and log billable and non-billable time entries accurately.
Provide end-to-end support for matters from early case assessment to archiving.
Implement and optimize use of advanced eDiscovery technologies such as analytics, threading, clustering, and AI-assisted review (CAL).
Ensure quality control across workspaces, productions, and data processing.
Administer and maintain Relativity workspaces, manage searching strategies, and provide workflow consulting.
Scope and coordinate data collections with appropriate vendors.
Serve as the escalation point for any collection-related issues.
Maintain and refine SOPs, templates, and best practices.
Support cost recovery and matter-level invoicing processes.
Train attorneys, paralegals, and reviewers on eDiscovery tools and protocols.
Stay current with industry certifications such as Relativity (RCA/Master) and ACEDS.
Develop review protocols and document strategies using AI and analytics.
Oversee review team productivity and track metrics aligned with budgets and timelines.
Evaluate and manage relationships with eDiscovery service providers and legal process outsourcers.
Required Skills & Experience:
Deep understanding of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) and litigation support best practices.
Expertise in Relativity (RCA or Relativity Master preferred), especially Relativity Continuous Active Learning (CAL).
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Nuance/Kofax, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience with Relativity Processing, LAW, and trial presentation tools such as Sanction, Trial Director, or OnCue.
Strong project management, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical concepts into practical legal guidance.
Proven ability to handle high-pressure environments, manage sensitive data, and lead multiple simultaneous projects.
Preferred Attributes:
Legal industry experience, ideally within a law firm.
ACEDS certification or similar.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
A calm, adaptable demeanor with a client-service focus.
