A New Jersey-based healthcare network is seeking a new Technology Licensing Specialist to join their growing team in Newark. In this role, the Technology Licensing Specialist will be responsible for supporting infrastructure projects by ensuring all necessary licenses and permits are obtained, maintained, and compliant with relevant regulations.


Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite; 2 days remote)


Responsibilities:



  • Lead the identification and acquisition of all permits, licenses, and approvals required for infrastructure projects

  • Monitor license status and ensure timely renewals or modifications as required

  • Maintain an up-to-date repository of all active licenses and permits

  • Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to develop and review licensing-related contracts and service-level agreements

  • Support the drafting, negotiation, and execution of contracts related to licensing and infrastructure compliance

  • Assist in vendor selection processes with a focus on licensing service providers or technical consultants

  • Prepare and manage the licensing budget within overall infrastructure project budgets

  • Track licensing-related costs and ensure alignment with financial forecasts and controls

  • Provide cost estimates for licensing activities during the project planning stages

  • Report on budget variances and recommend cost-optimization strategies

  • Prepare regular reports for senior management on licensing status, risks, and compliance issues

  • Support audits and reviews related to licensing and regulatory compliance

  • Perform other duties, as needed


Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of experience in a licensing role within the Infrastructure, Construction, or Engineering sectors

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, and/or a related field

  • Proven experience in managing Procurement and Contracts, particularly related to Licensing and Regulatory Compliance

  • Strong knowledge of relevant Local, Regional, and National Regulatory frameworks

  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and financial reporting for licensing activities

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills


Desired Skills:



  • Master's Degree

  • Experience with infrastructure projects

  • Legal or Paralegal training related to Public Infrastructure or Government Contracts

  • Knowledge of Environmental and Safety Permitting processes
