Desktop Support Engineer
Location: Marlborough, MA
Experience: 2+ yrs

Duration: 6+ Months
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and networking issues on laptops and mobile devices for local and remote employees.
- Assist in IT asset life cycle refresh, including imaging, configuring, and migrating to new systems for new hires and existing employees.
- Support hardware/software installations and rollout of new systems to end users/groups.
- Maintain passwords, data integrity, and file system security.
- Manage laptop and accessory distribution logistics in Austin, Texas, including asset management, inventory, shipping, and receipt of hardware.
- Handle retiring and secure disposal of IT assets.
- Develop, document, implement, and communicate standard operating procedures and instructional guidelines for IT teams and end users.
- Participate in testing new software or hardware, providing detailed technical feedback.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining network equipment, phones, and teleconference equipment.
- Support other IT teams with their projects, hardware, and software.
- Assist in computer room and data center operations support.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Fully proficient with Windows and MacOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite; extensive experience with Excel and SharePoint a plus.
- Working knowledge of mobile wireless operating systems (iOS and Android).
- Thorough understanding of PC hardware and efficient troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to maintain effective relationships with colleagues and internal customers.
- Ability to communicate highly technical information to technical and nontechnical personnel.
- Capability to conduct training programs on basic and specialized applications.
- Ability to multitask and transition quickly between multiple issues.
- High accountability and ability to lead initiatives from start to finish with minimal supervision.
