The Boeing Company is looking for an Airplane Level Integration Engineer - Associate to join our Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) P-8/E-7 team in Renton, WA, to support production stability efforts.

We are looking for self-starting engineers with expertise in Airplane Systems who are interested in seeking, leading, and tackling production improvement initiatives. You will support critical items such as troubleshooting efforts, particularly for airplane systems, and interfacing with the factory to support delivery efforts, integrate across multiple disciplines, and promote a healthy working environment between the engineering teams and the manufacturing teams, while focusing on the program's priorities for improvement.

In this role you will be expected to lead projects that directly impact the program and improve our delivery tact time, while maintaining a high level of commitment to quality. This is a production facing role and will require working knowledge of Airplane Systems such as Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronic systems. Domain knowledge in other airplane functions is also desired.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Renton, WA.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Participates in the development and management, and performs limited analysis of process and product baselines.
  • Works under general direction to coordinate and conduct product and subsystem level technical design reviews and audits for new and derivative products. Performs routine analysis of product trades and/or changes and assists in the development of change proposals.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of Configuration and Data Management standards, processes, systems and tools.
  • Utilizes data gathered from customers to assist in the definition of Configuration and Data Management requirements for product hardware, software and engineering design data systems.
  • Assists in the integration, routine analysis and resolution of issues with engineering product structure.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of engineering technical program plans of limited scope including impacts, risks and incorporation of lessons learned.
  • Works under general supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • 2+ years of experience troubleshooting technical system issues
  • 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following engineering fields: (airplane systems, aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, systems engineering, certification, or safety)

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate (Level 2):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes , lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
