- Lead the development of advanced recipes, connectors, and API orchestration flows that meet business requirements
- Establish and enforce governance and lifecycle management standards for Workato environments (e.g., folders, version control, naming conventions)
- Work closely with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to translate integration requirements into technical specifications
- Mentor Workato developers and guide them in recipe design, error handling, and platform optimization
- Define and implement best practices for error management, recipe modularization, scheduling, and testing automation
- Participate in discovery workshops, integration assessments, and roadmap planning sessions
- Integrate with both cloud and on-premise systems using REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, event triggers, and Workato SDK
Required Skills & Experience:
- 7+ years in integration architecture, with 3+ years of direct experience on the Workato platform
- Proven track record of delivering complex integrations across systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, SAP, ServiceNow, Jira, and Slack
- Strong understanding of API design (REST, OAuth2, webhooks), data formats (JSON, XML), and middleware patterns
- Experience implementing Workato best practices including recipe versioning, modular design, and environment management
- Proficiency in building custom connectors using Workato SDK
- Familiarity with automation design patterns, orchestration, and reusable frameworks
- Hands-on experience with Workato tools: Recipe functions, Lookup Tables, Data Pills, Jobs Reports, Workspace management
- Strong scripting or programming background (JavaScript, Python, etc.) is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Workato Automation Pro II or III Certification
- Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD for Workato deployments
- Background in enterprise IT systems and data architecture
- Experience with other iPaaS tools like MuleSoft, Boomi, Celigo, or Tray.io is a bonus
