Job Title: Senior Business Systems Analyst
Location: Mechanicsville, VA (On-site 3 Days/Week No Exceptions)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with extensive systems analysis experience to join our team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role supports a portfolio of custom applications and third-party platforms, providing both enhancement solutions and production support. This is not a traditional Business Analyst (BA) role it requires hands-on experience in systems analysis, strong communication, and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Elicit, document, and communicate business requirements clearly and effectively.
Write well-formed user stories and acceptance criteria to support product owners, SMEs, developers, and QA teams.
Support full SDLC activities across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid models.
Perform problem triage and support production issue resolution.
Gather and document interface requirements and source-to-target mappings.
Analyze data using basic SQL (select statements) to support business needs.
Lead effective meetings, facilitate JAD sessions, stakeholder interviews, and UAT planning.
Translate business goals into scalable system designs.
Recommend build vs. buy solutions aligned with strategic goals.
Partner with developers, QA, and product owners to ensure proper solution delivery.
Mentor junior analysts and promote BSA best practices.

Technical & Soft Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Strong understanding of Web and Client/Server application concepts
Excellent facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
Ability to mentor and guide junior team members
Additional Information:
On-site attendance is mandatory for 3 days/week from Day 1. No exceptions.
Free on-site parking is available at the Mechanicsville location.
This position involves working with multiple business lines and technical teams in a matrixed environment.
