Job Title: Workday Project Manager
Location:New York NY
Employment Type: Contract on W2
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end Workday HCM/Payroll/Financials project implementations and upgrades.
Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables using project management best practices (Agile/Waterfall/
Hybrid). Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, HR, IT, and external Workday consultants.
Drive requirements gathering, gap analysis, design workshops, testing, and deployment activities.
Oversee system configuration, integrations, and reporting in Workday.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, GDPR) and internal governance standards.
Provide post-implementation support and manage enhancements, patches, and releases.
Mentor and guide project team members and provide knowledge transfer to internal staff.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
8+ years of project management experience with at least 3+ years in Workday HCM/Payroll/Financials projects.
Strong knowledge of Workday modules such as HCM, Payroll, Recruiting, Absence, Time Tracking, or Financials.
Proven experience with Workday integrations (EIB, Studio, Core Connectors, APIs).
Solid understanding of project management methodologies (PMP, Agile, PRINCE2 preferred).
Strong stakeholder management, vendor management, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
