Description
We're hiring a creative technical thinker with excellent problem solving skills and the ability to communicate to diverse audiences for this position. Robert Half could have a Systems Engineer job for you, if you apply today. Our Systems Engineer hire needs to become a key contributor to the maintenance and optimization of the client's network and wireless infrastructure. Your responsibilities
- Give 2nd and 3rd level support
- Write down and keep up custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
- Contribute to the design of information and operational support systems
- Survey and sample application performance for potential bottlenecks, pinpoint possible solutions, and cooperate with developers to perform those fixes
- Provide backup, redundancy strategies, and security
- Configure, test, maintain, and install operating systems, system management tools, and application software
- Head and keep a close watch on all installed systems and infrastructure
- Display active participation to warrant the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Communicate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

Requirements
- You'll be a good fit for this position if you have solid networking knowledge
- If you have solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks, you will be strongly preferred for this position
- It is preferred for applicants to have experience with automation software
- If you're looking for job openings and have solid scripting skills, you might be a good fit for this position
- Applicants should have proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting various operating systems
- Applicants should have experience with monitoring systems
- Experience with virtualization and containerization
