We're hiring two Senior Active Directory Engineers for a 6-month remote contract with strong potential for extension up to 2 years. This role supports a legacy Active Directory environment undergoing a major transition and consolidation effort.
Microsoft Entra ID experience is an absolute must-have to be considered for this opportunity.
Role Overview
You'll be supporting the maintenance and decommissioning of over 100 domain controllers in a legacy environment, working closely with internal teams to assess activity, compliance, and readiness for migration. This includes server upgrades, log analysis, and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition.

- Administer and maintain Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD environments
- Support domain controller decommissioning and compliance efforts
- Analyze logs and activity to determine usage and retirement readiness
- Collaborate with internal teams to assess and document domain controller status
- Perform server upgrades and promotions (not initial builds)
Required Skills
- Extensive Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD administration experience
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills
- Experience with domain controller maintenance and decommissioning
- Server administration experience
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate findings clearly
